HISTORY

With the Islamic world's growing need for the Holy Quran, Saudi Arabia's awareness of its leading role in the service of Islam, and out of king Fahad's personal concern to serve the Holy Quran, the first corner stone for King Fahad Holy Quran Printing Complex in Al-Medina city was established in 1982.

Covering 250,000 spm, this Complex includes a mosque, and different units for administration, maintenance, printing, warehouse, transport, marketing, residences, entertainment, dispensary, library, restaurants and other.

Built in a typical Islamic architecture, the complex was awarded the Al-Medina prize in 1995. HQPD employs today over 1700 dedicated staff members, between scientists, university professors, technicians, and administrators.

HQPD is devoted to publishing, printing, and recording the highest quality copies of the Holy Quran in different languages, which includes science and research in the Suna and Sira of the prophet and the translation of the Holy Quran with its related commentary.
